Fun!

Filed under: berryland — pandaberry @ 2:15 am

It’s been a bit of a quiet week. I did get to hang with my best friend, Gary, on Wednesday.
We went to dinner and found the People magazine with Saved by the Bell on the cover.
Completely hilariously excited!

On Saturday there was a Warehouse Sale in my town with some awesome
shops giving major discounts!

I was half on the lookout for a fun necklace and half on the lookout for something
just fun. Guess which one I found? And guess where I found it? At the Heliotrope table!

It’s a very grand chandelier! Hehe! I initially wanted this for my car but seeing how
big (well….in relation to my rearview mirror haha) I’ve decided this will go over
my living room in my new apartment. Oh heck I want one for every room!!

Today I went to my sis&bro-in-law’s place to watch their kitty, Gracie Brown. I didn’t even see her!
I hope I was in the right apartment haha. Either way this apartment had the new Ikea Catalog
so I read that and watched the Clarissa Explains It All dvds I brought with me. Called in
for some Mellow Mushroom and did a little laundry as well. Action packed Sunday!

Oh! I’ve been reading about the new Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick in all the new mags,
so I went to Target to check them out. I found one I really liked, Madison Mauve, and with
the $5 gift card I received (from buying a Brita!) a few weeks ago this only cost me 87 cents! I rock!

If I was a rich girl…

Filed under: shop til i drop — pandaberry @ 3:29 am

I’m not feeling so hot today. I think I ingested too many vitamins
and my body felt very out of sorts for most of the day. I came home
and made what I think is technically a vegan dinner.

Morningstar Farms is like my favorite go to dinner. So yummy. And yes I’m pretty much kidding about the vegan thing!

I came home, ate my awesome dinner and then took a nap. It was lovely.
I had to run to the store and when I came back I got all snuggly in
bed and played one of my favorite games. I pick a dollar amount, in this case $1,0000,
and picked out fun stuff to buy. It’s fun, you should play! Here’s what I would buy:

this is kinda ugly…so you’d know i’d probably buy it.

i love everything about this!

insane.bananas.i die.

1.Steve Madden Bedding $179.99
2.Modcloth.com Strata Dress$199.99

Things they are a-changin’

Filed under: Uncategorized — pandaberry @ 12:01 am

Ok through almost 3 weeks back and forth insanity, I have an apartment to live in!
They gave away the apartment right beside my friend Katy (even though I put in my deposit, they cashed it and called to say this is the one I’d be living in…but ANYWAY).
I move September 2nd and I am really excited! A month is going to seem like forever haha.

What’s new with me? Not much, just being fabulous.
I went to see (500) Days of Summer with my rad friend David. It was so cute! Fantastic soundtrack, including my favorite Smiths song.

I decided I needed to change my hair (I know, shocking) and I think it looks really fab. I do kinda feel like an anime character with the bangs however, but it still looks cute.

On Saturday I went to this amazing thrift shop and found all sorts of amazing clothes. In the end I picked these two.
One is an SJP Bitten top I’ve always thought was awesome. They ended up being 50% off as well so I only spent $4 total! Am I good or what?

On Sunday I got all cosy on the sofa and watched the fabulous Kylie Minogue’s Body Language Live.

she’s hiding here…

I got off work really really early today, which was awesome because it looked gorgeous out today.
And it was! I went to Trader Joe’s and smelled the roses, literally haha. Thought about what to
cook for dinner and decided it was too lovely a day to be inside. I went home, grabbed my ipod and went for a walk.
And look what I found! Isn’t this awesome? I love the trees.

Party @ Heliotrope!

Filed under: berryland, shop til i drop — pandaberry @ 1:25 pm

I woke up this morning, checked my email and saw that my
favorite store in the galaxy, Heliotrope, accepted my friend request on Facebook
AND they were having a party tonight. AND the party was for the release of George Skaroulis‘s new album.
The spa I work at almost exclusively plays his albums! How awesome, I am so there!

I went to work, came home, ate pizza (mmm), took a shower, danced
to Kylie and then it was party time. Here’s me getting excited in advance:

this just makes me happy

gotta always say hello to henry!

loved these notebooks, especially the one with the lion

amazing scad plates! shana from JEM so would’ve eaten off these

close-ups

the always sweet Tommy. owner and knower of gnome stuff, which is extremely handy.

how awesome is this? totally reminds me of my friend Kaira, she so needs this.

Chewable mustaches next to the compacts? Brilliant.

one of each, please!

Mushroom housewares!!

oh hello!

so pretty!

I love how much Charley Harper items they have, I love his geometric shapes and colors!

Need the painting and the chandelier!~

and the owl!

As I took a break, my picture taking finger was ow-ing, so I was able to talk
to Tommy, Marc and Jessica. Of course owning a place like this means they’re
as kick ass as I would’ve imagined. Our sophisticated conversation ranged from
Pee-Wee’s Playhouse (and my search for the perfect chairy for my home), Prince,
Jem and the Holograms, Etsy and Youngblood Gallery, Flying Monkeys throwing poo
at the Cowardly Lion haha. Jessica and I were talking about blogs when she pulled
mine up and saw my last post drooling over the Pantone mugs. So she told me to
take one. What??? Is that like the most out of blue, awesome thing ever? How do you
pick a color? The seafoamy green? Ooh the gray?? No the purple! Wait which purple?
I finally decided on Pantone 520 C. Also known as Grape Juice/Platform Shoes.

How gorgeous??

I immediately washed it and made tea haha! Then my phone rang…

Oh it’s Marilyn, she wants to hang with me.

So another awesome bash and now an amazingly sweet present! Fabulous night, no?

Traveling Wilburys!

Filed under: music — pandaberry @ 5:50 am

So I’m packing up my place, getting ready to move to
a new Berryland and as I go through all of my odd belongings
and putting them into weird groups there’s only one band I can be
listening to-The Traveling Wilburys. If you’ve never had the pleasure
please oh please let me introduce you to the best spontaneous rock band
ever put together.

Made from unbelievable music royalty we have George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne.
How did these people get together?? Basically George Harrison needed to write a b-side
for a single he was putting out, went to dinner with Jeff and Roy and asked if they would
help. They said cool, they asked Bob Dylan if they could use his studio and he said cool.
Well George’s guitar was at Tom Petty’s house so Tom tagged along. They all went into the studio and totally
goofed around and accidentally wrote one of the cutest songs ever.

And with that the Wilbury’s were born. You can get the lovely story in their own words here at their website!

They made two albums Vol 1 & Vol 3 and they’re both so much fun. You can totally feel how
much fun they had just jamming together. I just discovered all of their videos-they’re as random
and cute as this band. You can see them at travelingwilburys.com. Make sure you check out End of the Line,
Roy Orbison had died before they made the video so when it’s his turn to sing they have a rocking
chair moving with his guitar and picture, totally tear worthy and sweet.

So back to packing and having a blast with Otis, Nelson, Lucky, Charlie T. Jr and Lefty Wilbury.

A Big Decision

Filed under: Uncategorized — pandaberry @ 2:30 am

Well the day before I was to re-up my lease I went to dinner
with the lovely Katy who told me the apartment across from
her was open. Um getting to live across the hall from one of my
favorite people?? And I would upgrade from a studio to a one bedroom??
And it’s $40 less than I’m paying now?? And it’s only 10 minutes from work??

Well as awesome as that would be the reality is that it would cost
me (and my parents cause they’re the sweetest humans on earth)
$2,000. And I would need that $2,000 by the end of this month. GULP.
What was going to happen??

At first I was nervous!

Then the thought of all that money gave me a headache!

And then we decided to do it!!! The first choice we’ve made as a couple!!

So in about a month and a half I’ll be off to a new adventure!

Engagement!!!

Filed under: berryland, Uncategorized — pandaberry @ 4:56 am

This is sudden right???

I took inspiration from my favorite episode of Sex and the City, A Woman’s Right to Shoes.
Carrie decides she’s tired of married people getting all the support so she gets engaged
to herself and registers at Manolo Blahnik. I thought that was a fabulous idea…so I’m calling my dating
adventure off and am officially engaged to myself! We’re thrilled. And because I’m me I went to Banana Republic
to buy an engagement ring for my love. I should totally have a party to celebrate haha!
